Sandwiches are very good option for making healthy food items for kids. However, you can use brown bread instead of white bread. You can use good chutnies and homemade sauces in your sandwiches. Make use of as many raw vegetables as you can.

You can encourage giving iron rich foods to kids. Your can encourage Indian breads made using corn flour or Ragi flour. These flours are very nutritious and improve healthy of children. Avoid giving maida products to your kids. Those are very unhealthy and can create health problem in future.

I agree with you anupama. It is very essential to discourage the maida food products in kids. Kids should eat lot of fruits and green vegetables. Making various interesting food items using fruits and vegetables can help in improving child´ s health.
