FOr too many people, the act of giving charity is just mechanical - done with the idea of fulfilling a religuous or moral obligation. Thus, the person giving hardly cares about where the money goes or how it is utilised. The essence of this article is that charity doesn' t entail jus PARTING WITH YOUR WEALTH (THat would be a very egocentric exercise that would defeat the idea of charity), but an effort to uplift or help your intended beneficiary in a meaningful way.

I am sure in our heart of hearts we all agree, but do we all, or can we, put this into practice.

I often wish to volunteer my active services to the causes I support financially, but just dont have the time to make this possible

Yes I think the way in which we do charity is important. The person who receives charity is often at the lowest rung of his life, he' s feeling down and in despair. Our charity should not appear demeaning to him yet should be fruitful for us. We need to feel that we made a significant difference.

This article made me think. Charity is not just about giving money and forgetting about it. Charity makes you a better person when you work to make someone' s life better. Yes, money helps but what comes from your heart is more meaningful.

RE:saree wearing
There is no such institute for saree wearing, instead you can learn how to drape a saree by watching you tube videos. Don’t waste your money for learning to drape saree. Any beautician can also teach you to drape a saree.... - Manjiri [View Message]
