Pregnancy Myths:Pregnancy Myths about the gender of child.
2013-01-07
Name: Sneha This is the most common myth that if a pregnant woman is carrying high belly, the baby will be a girl and if she is carrying low belly it will be boy.Carrying low belly means that the baby just dropped lower into the pelvis because you' re closer to delivery. Many factors like your fat deposit etc play a significant role in the posture of your belly. So the abdomen posture determining the sex of the child is a myth.

It was absolutely right in my case. Low belly and a baby boy. Even the elders say the same. So may be its a myth but i have experienced it to be true in so many cases that I know of. Not everything said about pregnancy is a myth. May be exceptions are there but mostly it is true.

You are absolutely right. Even i had a high belly during my pregnancy and every one said its gonna be a girl whereas I was blessed with a baby boy!The position of the fetus also plays a major role in determining your belly shape. So its a complete myth and has no rational.
