Since Feng Shui derives a lot form Chinese numerology, i wonder what are the similariites between Feng Shui and Vaastu. If they are entirely dissimilar, it is imporbable that both could be effective.

Both are concerned with the management of energy in and around the home, workplace etc. But even if basic precepts arfe the same (such as clean surroundings, balancing the elements etc) from the little I know both follow different principles.

This article is very informative. However, I do not know to what extent a person is influenced by the date of birth. Still, maths is the language of the universe so we cannot totally discount the possibilty.

To the Chinese it is a very big deal. So much so that they have factored the date of the next Olympics using Chinese numerology. It is like any other customer religion or belief, it depends on perspective.
