My 4 month old had a fever of only 100.6 it subsided over night, but now she has those red bumps ALL over her body. Could this still be Roseola? Since her fever never passed 100.6 - she doesn't seem to be bothered by it, but its making me worry like crazy! The Dr. Said it was Roseola but he only talked to me on the phone, since its the weekend.so he didn't see her in person. Its even spread to her butt.what do you guys think?

My 16 month old son came down with fever for three days of 102-104, when the fever subsided a rash appeared on his face neck and belly. He vomits and has little appetite. Took him to the emergency and advised it was viral. I am taking him back to the clinic tonight as I thought with the outbreak of the rash, he may have the measles but it sounds like this too. Any pics? I am so worried about him.

My dearest 17 month old boy came down with fever of a max 39.7C over 4 days. The fever disappeared fast and the red dots appeared all over his body, it has spread to his face and arms over the last 2 days and I was told about False Measles just this morning. I am still observing him and thanks to this thread, I got to understand this quite a bit more.. Thanks.

My 8 month old boy had fever of up to 39.4degrees + mild rashes. His paedetrician diagnosed him with infection and for the rashes - heat rash. After taking the medicine, his rashes spread and became redder. I consulted the doctor again and was told that it was normal and ok coz the heat was coming out and it's a sign that the fever would subside the next day. True. However, his rashes spread further and to his face! Brought him to a skin specialist who said it was heat rash too. When the rashes still did not subside but became worse, brought him back to his paedeatrician who diagnosed it as roseola! The symptoms and signs were not obvious at the beginning. It's harmless but quite infectious just like the flu. Now, my son has fully recovered. The treatment - bed rest and losts of fluid as there's no specific treatment for roseola. He was also on homeopathy medicine.

My 13 month oold had a fever for 4 ay ranging from 103-102 degrees F. Finally the fever dropped but she now has pale skin and pink spot on her chest, arms, face , and neck. She has a runny nose as well and hasn't really ate or drank anything. I feel I am force feeding her. I am pretty sure she has RI but how can a doctor tell for sure? If I don't take her in will she get better eventualy?

I have the poster child for this awful disease. The fever broke and the spots arrived and then I looked for the answer to my sleepless nights. Two clinics and several negative answers later, I finally got into a clinic. The Doctor kindly soothed my shattered nerves and both baby and I are now on the mend.

How do we differentiate between German measles to Fasle measles in infants? If a pregnant woman contacts an infant few days before the outbreak of the false measles of an infant, would that affect her baby. The lady is in the 1st trimester of pregnancy. How can the doctor be 100% sure about the diagnosis of false measles in the infant?
